Emma Romans Joins National Network to Support Women with Medical Hair Loss
Industry News • Betty Brown Wigs
Emma Romans of Betty Brown Wigs has officially joined a prestigious national network dedicated to supporting women through the challenges of medical hair loss. This follows the completion of an intensive wig personalisation course at the L’Oreal Professional headquarters in London.
Training with Trevor Sorbie
Led by world-renowned hairdresser Trevor Sorbie, the training provided Emma and her team with intensive, hands-on direction in fitting and styling wigs for medical clients. This elite certification ensures that Betty Brown Wigs remains at the forefront of premium wig-cutting services in the UK.
Beyond technical skills, Emma participated in a specialist communications workshop led by cancer nurses from The Communication Equation Ltd. This training is specifically designed to help professionals put vulnerable clients at ease during sensitive and difficult situations.
"Psychological Medicine"
Trevor Sorbie’s mission is to provide more than just a haircut—it’s about providing “psychological medicine” for those experiencing hair loss. At Betty Brown Wigs, a client can expect a respectful, compassionate, and professional consultation, tailored entirely to their individual needs.
Local Support & Community
We believe in raising standards both locally and nationally. In addition to our professional services, we run a free support group where everyone is welcome. Developed with the help of Michelle Chapman from the Alopecia awareness charity, the group is led by the needs and interests of its members.
