Essential Washing & Styling Rules
- ✘ Avoid Heat: Do not use heated tools, tongs, or hair dryers to style your wig. Excessive heat from ovens or radiators can permanently spoil the wig fibres.
- ✔ Washing: Wash wigs in tepid or cold water using a small amount of modacrylic shampoo. Rinse thoroughly in cool water.
- ✔ Drying: Gently pat dry any excess moisture with a towel. Place the wig on a wig stand to air-dry overnight.
- ✘ No Wet Brushing: Never brush your wig while it is wet, as this will loosen and damage the fibres.
- ✔ Restyling: Once completely dry, use a wide-tooth comb or specialized brush to return the hair to its original shape.
Pro Tips for Longevity
Using Haircare Products:
Standard hairsprays can damage synthetic hair. Only use sprays specifically formulated for wigs to maintain the integrity of the fibre.
Changing the Shape:
If you wish to change the shape of your hairpiece, you can set the fibres using rollers while the hair is wet. Allow it to dry naturally overnight. Remember: hair dryers and tongs must still be avoided during this process.
